WE DO

SERVICES || MUSIC STYLES || FOR WHOM / WHAT KIND OF EVENTS || EXAMPLES || OUR APPROACH

Sonorus specialises in music sound engineering – from small and intimate singer-songwriter concerts to large scale productions, recordings, broadcasts, installations. We have a lot of expertise in large-scale productions, which means we are well-versed in working across different departments (lighting, video, production teams, etc.).

Our biggest international productions include Jacob Collier’s concert in Tartu, Coldplay’s pre-recording for Glastonbury, Brian Eno in Europe, Babylon Berlin, and Bright & Black with Baltic Sea Philharmonic. For years, we have been responsible for Estonia’s largest and most prestigious events, such as the Estonian Music Awards, the Estonian Independence Day concert, Rally Estonia, Jazzkaar Festival, and Viljandi Folk Festival.

Sonorus provides audio services from initial vision to full-scale implementation (a turnkey solution), regardless of whether the event is a small concert or a global production.

The final solution is always concept-driven and determined through collaboration with musicians and/or other production partners. For us, it is both important and creatively stimulating to develop an approach that best aligns with the vision of each event or artist—whether it’s a nature meditation, a singer-songwriter showcase, or an international television broadcast, we are always prepared to go the extra mile. We love special projects.

Using primarily Sonorus’ own equipment, we provide sound engineering services for events with up to 3,000 attendees, and for larger productions, we collaborate with trusted technical partners.

SERVICES

Sonorus provides a comprehensive sound engineering service, from vision to full-scale implementation, covering events of all sizes, from intimate gatherings to major productions. Our team is exceptionally well-prepared—if a team member (including the sound director) falls ill, the event still goes ahead. We work as a team, and all preparation is documented for seamless handover.

  • Project management: We plan and consult on the full scope or specific aspects of a sound production, from start to finish or at designated stages. Every event we handle has a dedicated project manager, even if that role is fulfilled by the sound director. We are together with you from the start and think along, create stage plans, (2D/3D), prepare technical riders, input/output lists, create detailed schedules, and book teams.
  • Sound directing. We handle the full range of sound production for concerts and events across all required aspects and genre:
    • FOH mixing
    • Monitor mixing
    • Broadcast mixing
    • Concert recording and postproduction (mixing and mastering)
  • Technical sound solutions
    • We supply a fully coordinated FOH and backstage team, along with their preparation and seamless execution.
    • In our warehouse, we preconfigure the most optimal, custom-tailored sound solution for each concert, testing it thoroughly beforehand, so that when it arrives at the venue, it is ready to roll straight onto the stage. Microphones, bodypacks, other devices, and stage boxes are prepared and labelled in advance—everything possible is prepped beforehand.
  • Soung equipment rental and installations
We offer a complete technical audio solution, including PA systems, stage equipment, wireless systems, and backline.
    • PA SYSTEMS: We cover events of up to 3,000 attendees using our own equipment, and for larger events, we collaborate with top-tier technical partners.
    • MONITORING: Wireless in-ear monitors and floor monitors.
    • MICROPHONES: Wired and wireless options
    • MODULAR SYSTEMS: Our optimized system allows pre-tested setups that significantly reduce the footprint of equipment at large events, making on-site setup faster and more space-efficient backstage.
    • MIXING CONSOLES: We select the most suitable and high-quality mixing consoles for each event. Our warehouse holds Midas HD96-24 (144 input channels, 96+24+3 output channels) and Waves LV1 consoles, which we use regularly. We are also proficient with major industry-standard brands, including Midas, Digico, Avid, Yamaha, Waves, and Soundcraft.

MUSIC STYLES

From our experiece, human experience is remarkably similar across different creative genres. We greatly value individuals who are fragile and vulnerable yet willing to share their artistry with others. We dedicate significant effort to understanding the key elements and desired soundscapes of various musical styles. Our preparation also takes place in the studio, where we collaborate with artists beforehand—exchanging ideas and determining the “marinade” that best suits their concert.

Over the years, we have had the privilege of working with an extensive range of musical styles, ensembles, and special projects. We thrive when challenged to think outside the box and seamlessly merge genres when needed. For us, the authenticity of the music and the audience’s experience are paramount, so we strive to deliver musicians’ performances as sincerely as possible—regardless of genre, time of day.

The following genres, in their many variations, most frequently appear in our calendar:

  • Jazz
  • Pop
  • Folk
  • Rock
  • Indie
  • Symphonic and chamber music
  • Genre fusions

OUR APPROACH

We have embarked on a thorough developmental journey in both technical processes and technology. For event organisers and performers, this means that we complete as much preparatory work as possible before meeting with you—tables, assessments, optimisations, rehearsals, visualisations, and pre-testing. All of this ensures that once on-site, our time and attention are focused solely on final discussions and refinements.

We strive to be a trusted partner, enabling you to perform with peace of mind, whether on stage or in the studio. Our team ensures that your music and message reach the audience exactly as you envision. We honour commitments, come fully prepared, use the best equipment, and remain dedicated to your success—we are a team.

Our portfolio encompasses a diverse range of live music productions, from small, intimate singer-songwriter performances to grand, epic live productions.

We also operate internationally—working on concerts of various scales with artists such as Trad.Attack! and Noep. Our international productions include Jacob Collier’s concert in Tartu, Coldplay’s pre-recording for Glastonbury, Brian Eno in Venice, Babylon Berlin, and Bright & Black with Kristjan Järvi’s orchestra.

We are accustomed to collaborating with highly creative individuals and adapting plans dynamically when necessary. This flexibility is made possible by meticulous preparation and a deep understanding of each artist’s world. Our expertise in large-scale productions means we are well-versed in working across different departments (lighting, video, production teams, etc.).
